# SMC game resources

Resource backup supplied by MiloSuam, fellow SMC player and APK merger.
“I want all players to be able to play this nostalgic game again.”

Download **both** the experimental APK and this resource ZIP from [irfanfahmi.com/smc](https://irfanfahmi.com/smc/). The resources are a separate download; the APK has not changed.

## Contents and compatibility

- `SMC-game-resources.zip`: 5,560,666,640 bytes (5.56 GB / 5.18 GiB).
- 22 NPK packs and eight resource configuration files, totalling 5,560,659,512 unpacked bytes.
- Archive root: one `com.netease.g93na` folder. There is no extra nested package folder.
- Highend resource variant. The configs also list alternate lowend packs, which are not included.
- Base pack filenames: version 2080256. Extension packs: version 2071160. The experimental APK has version code 2080296. These different versions have not been tested together on a phone.
- The 16 highend extension pack sizes and MD5 checksums match their resource configs. Six additional base packs are included. The verification JSON lists SHA-256 checksums for all 30 files.
- Includes game resources only; no Crows account or login backup is included. Successful file verification does not confirm login, graphics or match compatibility.

## Restore without Termux

1. Back up any existing game data and Crows account before replacing the original app. The experimental APK uses a different signer; uninstalling the original can delete its data.
2. Install `SMC-Crows-experimental.apk` with Android’s package installer. Keep the game closed while restoring resources.
3. Extract the ZIP on your PC with a ZIP64-capable extractor. You need at least 5.56 GB free for the extracted files, in addition to space for the ZIP. The phone also needs room for the resources, APK and additional game data.
4. Connect your phone by USB in File transfer mode. If your phone permits access, copy the extracted `com.netease.g93na` folder into the phone’s `Android/data/` folder. Merge folders and replace the matching resource files. Retain your existing account files.
5. Verify that a pack is directly at `Android/data/com.netease.g93na/files/netease/smc/com_hres_1_2080256.npk`. Do not create `Android/data/com.netease.g93na/com.netease.g93na/` or copy the ZIP itself into the game folder.
6. Restore your own existing Crows account before first launch if you have one. This ZIP cannot restore an account. Follow the APK README for account handling, then test login, lobby, graphics and a match.

Android 11 and later restrict file-manager access to `Android/data`; USB file access also varies by device. See [Android’s storage restrictions](https://developer.android.com/about/versions/11/privacy/storage). If the folder is blocked, the PC ADB option below may work on your device. Restore and gameplay have not been tested on a phone.

## PC ADB fallback

No Termux or phone terminal is required. Download [Google’s SDK Platform Tools for Windows](https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools), extract them, enable USB debugging on the phone, connect USB and approve your own PC’s debugging prompt. Open PowerShell in the extracted `platform-tools` folder.

Replace `C:\SMC-resources` below with the folder where you extracted the resource ZIP. Keep the game closed.

```powershell
.\adb.exe devices
.\adb.exe shell am force-stop com.netease.g93na
.\adb.exe shell mkdir -p /sdcard/Android/data/com.netease.g93na/files/netease/smc
.\adb.exe push "C:\SMC-resources\com.netease.g93na\files\netease\smc\." /sdcard/Android/data/com.netease.g93na/files/netease/smc/
```

Continue only when `adb devices` lists your phone as `device`. If multiple devices are connected, disconnect the others or specify your phone with `-s SERIAL` for each command. Check that `adb push` finishes successfully; if it reports permission denied or a storage error, the resource restore is incomplete. It copies the resource files and retains unrelated account files. See [Google’s ADB documentation](https://developer.android.com/tools/adb) for USB setup and file copying. Disable USB debugging after finishing if you no longer need it.
